Connie's Ice Cream
|I will just come out and say that this is the BEST Ice cream Erie has to offer!|
We took the boys there tonight for the first ice cream of the season. As soon as we mentioned ice cream, they all chimed in "Are we going to go see Dave the Ice Cream man?" To them, there is no other ice cream worth having, lol. We tried to take them on Monday, but they closed early, due to the rain. I can't say I blame them, though. We were the only ones crazy enough to drive over there in the rain!
I have a feeling that, since they moved, people don't know where it's at! Oh, you all must go! Buffalo Rd in Fairview....PAST the Creamland ice cream place (or whatever it's called) about 2 minutes. If you haven't been there, you don't know what you're missing! It is well worth the drive and the gas to get out there! And, you can see and smell his beautiful flowers while you're there.
It's a great place for kids, since it's fenced in. My kids love running through the flowers "chasing cars" (like dogs), screaming all the while. I feel safe knowing that the only way for them to get to the street is to walk all the way down to the entrance to the fence and around, or crawling through the rails (it's a wooden fence...a split rail of sorts).
Anyway, if you love ice cream, or even like it, you must try Connie's!
They'll be at the Rib cook-off downtown and they'll also be at the 8 Great Tuesday's at the Amphitheatre. Give them a try!
